South Sudanese Leadership Initiative

The Dut Jok Youth Foundation won a $35,000 grant from the National Endowment for Democracy to carry out the South Sudanese Leadership Initiative. SSLI is a leadership program to empower youth leaders to promote good governance, human rights, and community peacebuilding. Phase I: a week-long leadership training for 75 young people from all corners of South Sudan was conducted in June, 2016. Dut Jok Memorial Cup

The Dut Jok Memorial Cup soccer tournament and conference was held in August 2015 in Kampala, Uganda. South Sudanese Youth Congress

The Dut Jok Youth Foundation continues to support the work of the South Sudanese Youth Congress. The Congress seeks to engage, inspire and empower young people in the United States to take proactive actions in improving their circumstances. Their programming extends to the youth of Abyei, Darfur, Blue Nile and South Kordofan. We are proud to support their outstanding work with youth. #Strive2Thrive
